There’s more Angry Birds on the way, with publisher Rovio announcing Angry Birds Epic, an adventure role-playing game boasting both an extensive crafting system and a healthy dose of turn-based combat.
We’re promised a story-driven campaign, and you’ll be able to create your own armour, potions and weapons in-game. This is a Rovio game, so while you have the option to earn all of the resources by playing, there’s also the opportunity to bypass that all by forking over some real-world cash.
The best thing? You won’t have to wait long to try it out, if you’re in the right parts of the world. Australia, New Zealand and Canada will get an “early form” of Angry Birds Epic in the iTunes App Store a little later this week, with the rest of the world to follow. The full version of the game is due out on iOS, Android and Windows Phone 8 later this year.
