Bears vs. Art out now in Australia from Halfbrick

Rather than messing around with a lengthy lead-up and anticipation process, Halfbrick has just published its next game directly to the iTunes App Store. Bears vs. Art was first outed as a trademark filing, but other than that, this is the first we’ve heard of it.

The story – like Halfbrick‘s other games like Jetpack Joyride and Fruit Ninja – is simple. A mild-mannered bear is a little upset when humans bulldoze his forest and build an art museum in its place.

Rather than attacking the building or the humans, Bears vs. Art sees our furry friend hell-bent on destroying all of the artwork in the museum.

There’s some puzzles involved, as the bear must navigate around both heightened security (including lasers, spikes and portals) and an assortment of human traffic.

Bears vs. Art is free-to-play (with a few in-app purchases), and comes with more than 125 different pieces of art at launch. The worldwide release is coming “soon”, but for now, if you’re in either Australia or Canada, you can jump right in.
