Project Spark beta kicks off on Xbox One

If you have an Xbox One and you like doing new things, you have no excuse not to pick up the beta for Project Spark, available on the console right now.

This is the second part of the open beta roll-out: Microsoft and Team Dakota launched the sandbox builder onto Windows 8.1 devices in December 2013, and more than 250,000 fans have signed up.

Project Spark features a revolutionary toolset which allows gamers to create “custom adventures and unique worlds” – and then share them with friends and the community.

As the Beta’s now available on two platforms, it seems a worthwhile time to point out that Microsoft‘s Cloud Saving functionality means you can create your dream project on Windows 8.1, save it, and then pick it up again on Xbox One – or vice versa.

Modify, collaborate and build a world of endless possibilities, regardless of where you play.

If you’ve already been running around the Windows 8.1 version of Project Spark, you’re automatically invited to the Xbox One version. Otherwise, you’ll need to head to the official website to sign on the dotted line – Project Spark launches a little later this year and promises to be free to play.
