It is precisely one month until the launch of Diablo III expansion set Reaper of Souls, and Blizzard has quietly ended the game’s closed beta test. As a consolation, the company has also revealed a bunch of new pre-order incentives.
Community manager Lylirra explains that the Beta and Public Test Realm servers have been taken offline and forums marked as read-only as of 5pm PST, with all Beta and PTR accounts (including character information) completely reset.
We’d like to thank everyone who has participated in the Reaper of Souls Beta and Patch 2.0.1 PTR. You’ve done an amazing job of testing, and we greatly appreciate all of the feedback you provided during this critical phase of development.
Diablo III: Reaper of Souls is heading to PC and Mac from March 25th, with a console version promised later this year. If you want to guarantee your copy, consider pre-ordering!
Pre-purchasing the game (or redeeming your Reaper of Souls key via Battle.net before March 31st) will also snag you a Wings of Valor in-game costume artifact, plus access to Valla the Demon Hunter, a new playable character who will appear in Heroes of the Storm.
Rather than giving you the goodies now, you’ll need to actually pick up the game – and then redeem your codes within the first week. Remember, there’s already a stack of goodies on offer for picking up the game – you could do plenty worse!
