You will soon be able to get your meticulously planned assassination fix on the go as Square Enix Montreal has revealed that they are hard at work on Hitman GO, a turn-based strategy game for mobile devices based on the Hitman franchise.
Talking about the development process, Square Enix Montreal said:-
We developed the game with a small core team, which allowed us to iterate fast, come up with solutions more easily and embrace a development style that felt very fresh for us. When we pitched this slightly leftfield concept to the team at IOI, they absolutely loved it. Now, Hitman GO is almost ready for launch and you might even read about it online in the coming weeks as we do some testing to make sure it’s all working properly before we launch it globally.
The game will see you strategically navigate fixed spaces on a grid, avoiding your enemies and infiltrating well-guarded locations before taking out your target. All the tricks and tools that have become staple parts of the Hitman franchise will be present in the mobile game, including disguises, distractions, sniper rifles and even Agent 47’s iconic Silverballers.
