There are 23 finalist games in this year’s Main Competition, with only two of them already on the Steam Greenlight list. Luxuria Superbia and SoundSelf have now automatically progressed into the Greenlit category and the respective developers are now discussing distribution options with Valve.
Haven’t heard of them? Well then. Both are… a little unusual.
Luxuria Superbia is a colorful, musical journey made to fill you with joy. Exciting designs explode from your touch as you glide through playful stylized flowers. It’s all about the experience and the interaction.
SoundSelf is the chanting game of sensory exploration. Sit down, turn off the lights, and use your voice to fall through strobing tunnels-of-light, impossible shapes, and deep into a meditative trance.
For the full list of nominees, head to the official IGF website. Some of the nominated games – like The Stanley Parable, Don’t Starve and Papers Please are already on Steam, but for the remainder, this is a great opportunity, if they choose to accept.
