Two more names have signed up to the Warcraft movie, as Legendary Pictures confirms both The Shawshank Redemption‘s Clancy Brown and Hong Kong actor Daniel Wu.
Warcraft is not Brown’s first foray into video games – his voice can be heard across numerous Crash Bandicoot games, as well as in LEGO Batman 2 where he plays Lex Luthor, and anything to do with SpongeBob SquarePants, reprising his role as Mr. Krabs.
Wu, on the other hand, is much better known in Hong Kong than in his native US, appearing in more than 40 films since his debut in 1998, and scoring multiple nominations at the prestigious Golden Horse Film Festival.
Brown and Wu join Vikings star Travis Fimmel in the adaptation of the popular Blizzard universe, with Paula Patton, Ben Foster, Toby Kebbell and Rob Kazinsky also named.
The script – now fully rewritten by Duncan Jones – will start production in Vancouver in January, ahead of a March 2016 release date.
