Lindsay Lohan is reportedly suing Rockstar Games, over claims the studio used her image without permission. We hear Lohan’s lawyers are asking for some “serious money” over allegedly including the actress in several scenes within recent blockbuster, Grand Theft Auto V.
The news comes via TMZ, who points out three potential appearances by the star:
- A mission where the player is required to escort Lohan-alike character Lacey Jonas to her home, in order to avoid demanding photographers.
- Inside the apparent in-game version of West Hollywood’s Chateau Marmont, a hotel where Lohan is known to have once lived and still frequents. The mission is to photograph a red-headed actress having sex on camera.
- …and – of course – the claim that, perhaps, Lindsay was the inspiration for the girl holding a cellphone on the game’s cover.
The last point can be easily disputed – despite fan’s assurances that the girl on the cover is inspired by model Kate Upton, she is actually British actress and model Shelby Welinder. (Last year, Welinder posted her paycheck from Rockstar to verify her claims.)
The other two “appearances”? Looks like it’s up to the courts to decide.
