The Second Assault DLC was released last week, on November 22nd, as a timed exclusive for Xbox One gamers who also hold a Battlefield Premium account. All good, until this week, where fans were presented with a “NULL DATA” response upon trying to download the pack – no description, no price, no way to download or install.
Gamers are pouring their hearts into a Battlefield forum thread, where it was reported that EA support is simply telling them to wait and see if the problem clears up of its own accord.
As more and more disgruntled fans filed complaints, the publisher started to take things more seriously:
“I know some of you have said already that it is being looked into but I wanted to just confirm it for you so you guys have a blue post to refer to.
Right now all I can say is that we are aware of this issue and are currently investigating this with Microsoft. Once we have some more details I’ll be sure to let you know.
If you have already downloaded and installed Second Assault for Battlefield 4 on your Xbox One, you can play to your heart’s content. If you haven’t, you’re out of luck until further notice.
For other platforms, the DLC pack is set to go live on December 3rd.
