The Typing of the Dead: Overkill hit shelves less than a month ago, but apparently that’s long enough to spawn a new batch of DLC, and it is glorious. The Shakespeare of the Dead is out now, and replaces all of the current words and phrases with quotes from the classic English playwright.
Plus, if you want more typing and more people, there’s a free update multiplayer patch out now as well, which unlocks two-player competitive story mode.

Described as “a midsummer night’s dream come true”, it’s not all “thou” and “thee”. Shakespeare is believed to have invented, or been the first to record a whole stack of words, including:
addiction, arch-villain, assassination, bedazzled, belongings, bloodstained, cold-blooded, dawn, dishearten, epileptic, eventful, eyeball, fashionable, gnarled, grovel, hot-blooded, inaudible, jaded, ladybird, laughable, lonely, manager, marketable, mimic, moonbeam, negotiate, new-fangled, obscene, outbreak, pageantry, pedant, puking, rant, savagery, scuffle, swagger, torture, uncomfortable, unreal, zany
And just in case you’re not a fan of playwrights, Sega promises that this one is just the first of many planned lexicon packs for the game. Expect more to come over the next few months.
