It’s the way of the modern gaming world now, so it shouldn’t come as much of a surprise but Sony’s new iteration of flagship racing game Gran Turismo is getting microtransactions.
Handing over your hard-earned cash will allow you to purchase cars, car upgrades, paint and even racing suits (for all you fashionistas out there!) These in-game credits can be purchased online, through PSN, or from participating retailers and will come in bundle of 500,000, 1 million, 2.5 million and 7 million.
Good news is, it looks like you’ll still be able to earn these coveted credits the old fashioned way, by recklessly tearing around world renowned tracks in what looks like your grandma’s 1992 hatchback!
No word yet from Sony on how much these phat stacks of credits will cost in real world money yet, but we’ll keep you posted!
Gran Turismo 6 releases on Dec. 6 for the Playstation 3, with no PS4 release in sight.
