Spike VGX nominations revealed

This year’s Spike VGX award nominations have been released, with Grand Theft Auto V and BioShock Infinite coming out on top of the lists. Love ’em or hate ’em, the event formerly known as the Spike VGAs is still one of the industry’s biggest nights, and while we’re intrigued to see who wins, all eyes will be focussed on the big name reveals, announcements and trailers the evening is famous for.

Nominations for VGX awards are picked by an advisory council of video games journalists, but you are still able to vote for your favourites. It’s not all big-name blockbusters, either: Indie darling Gone Home snagged three nominations – one third of the total nods given to GTA5, but by no means a small achievement.

Here’s the full list of nominations – head to the website if you’d like to throw your opinions into the ring!

VGX is being labelled as a “true binging dream” for gamers, expanding to an all-day experience, rather than the evening-only awards night we’ve seen in previous years. It will be held on Saturday, December 7th at 6pm ET / 3pm PT (what’s that in my timezone?), and we’ll have details on all the winners right here on Player Attack.
