State of Decay DLC due out next week

The team at Undead Labs didn’t stop working on State of Decay once the game hit PC back in September. Instead, they’ve been working hard, and the first batch of DLC for the undead survival title is set to hit both Xbox 360 and PC next Friday, November 29th.

Sanya Weathers from Undead Labs explains:

Our first expansion comes largely from you and your dreams. Less story, more survival. Long-term survival. More difficulty. New achievements, survivors, and weapons. We hope you have as much fun with it as we have.

That “long-term survival” is the theme of the new DLC. Breakdown is a Sandbox expansion for the original game. Developers explain that you can play the game for as long as you want – or until you exhaust your resources. Then, it’s time to grab an RV, pick up your best friends, and head over to a “replenished” version of the map – now with more zombies.

And if that new content wasn’t enough for you, the game’s also in line for Title Update 4, which will hit both systems on the same day as the new DLC. As well as the usual bug fixes, there are a few extra goodies thrown in (like the eagerly-anticipated loot distribution system). PC gamers can also relax, as the new remappable keybinds will also be released around the same time – hopefully a few days before.

State of Decay is available right now for PC and Xbox 360, despite stumbling a little at its initial launch.
