Minecraft Documentary is now Free

In case you missed it, or aren’t keen on torrents, the 2012 documentary Minecraft: The Story of Mojang is now available in full to watch on YouTube, thanks to 2 Player Productions and, of course, developer Mojang.

As you might have guessed, the documentary takes a look at the phenomenon that is Minecraft. Across the hour and 45 min it takes to get though this goliath sized tribute, it talks about the impact the game has had on both gaming culture and the way gaming culture is seen.

It would not be a complete without industry icons Tim Schafer and Peter Molyneux, who put in their point of view  of the importance of Minecraft. One thing is for sure is that this documentary will serve as a time capsule that will be looked back by future generations (who will likely be confused by its low graphics).

If you’d like a copy of your very own to keep, you can still snag it from The Pirate Bay, or of course purchase a digital copy or DVD, direct from the studio.
