This year’s entry into the Call of Duty franchise, Call of Duty: Ghosts, has gone well as expected, going straight to the top of sales charts on every platform. That said, the sales figures don’t look so good for the Wii U.
Over in the UK we have seen some interesting sales figures come out of the games release. The platforms getting the most sales are as expected 62% on the Xbox 360, 34% on the PlayStation 3 (mostly lower with the PS4s release around the corner) and 3% on the yet-to-be released PS4.
What about PC and the Wii U? Well they accounted for less than 1% of the games total sales. Meaning the PS4 version of the game that will not be out for a little be longer had managed to beat the combined total for PC and Wii U in the UK. (Keep in mind that PC gamers can buy the game via services like Steam, and these figures are only for in-store purchases – but they’re still pretty scary.)
