The Wii U version of Batman: Arkham Origins is running a little behind schedule, and will officially miss out on launching alongside the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 copies later this week. The 3DS edition of companion game Batman: Arkaham Origins Blackgate has also been delayed.
To soften the blow, we have a whopping seventeen minutes (17!) of gameplay for you to check out, complete with commentary from Senior Producer Ben Mattes and Gameplay Director Michael McIntyre. The video looks at the game’s brand new mechanics, deep combat system and engrossing narrative – and shows off the Dark Knight beating up a few bad guys, to boot.
When it comes to the delays, Warner Bros. has told Player Attack that the new Australian release date for both Wii U and 3DS games is November 6th – two weeks after the other platforms.
The game’s European release is also affected, with Wii U, 3DS and physical PC versions arriving on November 8th. (Warner Bros. assures us that the PC release “remains unaffected” in Australia.)
If you’re in the United States, you don’t need to worry. The worldwide release date – October 25th – applies to every platform.
