We haven’t seen the last of Injustice: Gods Among Us, reports Warner Bros, confirming that the Ultimate Edition of the game is headed to PS Vita, PS4 and Windows PC as early as next month. As well as the new platforms, what makes this one so “Ultimate” is the inclusion of all previously-released DLC!
Two different developers are tackling the three new platforms – Armature Studios has the handheld interpretation, adding another title to its collection that already includes Metal Gear Solid HD and Batman Arkham Origins: Blackgate.
Armature co-founder Jack Mathews explains that the studio worked hard to ensure the portable version matched the home console, in terms of quality.
The PS3 version has beautiful lighting, destructible environments, and – most importantly – 60 FPS fighting. We worked tirelessly to bring this experience to the handheld, and pulled out all the stops to push the PS Vita as hard as we could to make all of the above happen.
On Vita, Injustice will also include traditional and ad-hoc multiplayer, as well as new touch controls for S.T.A.R. Labs Missions and Story Mode.
The other two versions – PC and PS4 – are being handled by High Voltage Software, who worked with developer NetherRealm on the PC port of Mortal Kombat. The studio reports that the PS4 version will also feature touch pad functionality, with more details to be revealed shortly.
…and in case you thought something was missing… you’re right. Nobody’s hinted at a version of Injustice: Gods Among Us for either Xbox One or Wii U, but we’ll keep you posted.
