Audiosurf 2 hurtles onto Steam early access

If you’re the sort of person who turns down in-game soundtracks and prefers to blast your own tunes, you’re in luck: Audiosurf is getting a sequel. The new game – just like the original – is a roller-coaster racer that uses your music to create twisting, turning tracks, and it’s set to hit Steam early access tomorrow!

Developer Dylan Fitterer made the announcement himself via Twitter, explaining on the game’s Steam page:

The highlight of Audiosurf 2 (so far) is wakeboarding mode, but there’s also classic modes, Audiosprint (party mode), and more to come as both official modes and Workshop mods.

All you need to do is pick a tune, pick a skin, pick a mod, and you’re all set to snag the top score.

The first we heard about the game was back when it was called Audiosurf Air, but Fitterer has been working on it ever since. Development continues on Audiosurf 2, but if you want to improve the final version, you can do that while checking out this early release – it’s as simple as that.
