Brace yourself: Sign-ups are now open for the Dark Souls II beta test for PS3. Namco Bandai and From Software have officially thrown wide the doors and is calling you to certain doom – the first round of testing kicks off on October 12.
You have a couple of choices: Head over to the PlayStation Network website and state your interest – or – jump on your PS3, head to the “Latest Releases” ini the online store, and download the Dark Souls II Beta Registration Ticket.
Regardless of which way you choose, you’ll need to get your ticket – beta testers will only be chosen from the list of gamers who have one.
Testing will take place in North America, Europe and Australasia a little later than planned – seems the team needs an extra week to get things sorted. Don’t get excited for October 5 – October 12 is the date you need to know. If you miss out on that round, there’s another starting on October 27th.
At this stage, the event is PS3 only, with no word on a PC or Xbox 360 beta test – but don’t fret: The game is still headed to all three platforms in March 2014.
