Watch the Grand Theft Auto V Official Trailer here

Ladies and gentlemen, the moment you’ve all been waiting for: After nearly two years of waiting, the Official Trailer for Grand Theft Auto V is finally here. If you’re not yet on the Rockstar Games bandwagon, this would be a pretty good way to get onboard.

Los Santos: a sprawling sun-soaked metropolis full of self-help gurus, starlets and fading celebrities, once the envy of the Western world, now struggling to stay afloat in an era of economic uncertainty and cheap reality TV. Amidst the turmoil, three very different criminals plot their own chances of survival and success: Franklin, a street hustler looking for real opportunities and serious money; Michael, a professional ex-con whose retirement is a lot less rosy than he hoped it would be; and Trevor, a violent maniac driven by the chance of a cheap high and the next big score. Running out of options, the crew risks everything in a series of daring and dangerous heists that could set them up for life.

Grand Theft Auto V was first announced back in October 2011, and we’ve seen bits and pieces on an irregular basis ever since. This, however, this is the real deal – and the trailer comes off the back of one of the most amazing soundtrack reveals we’ve seen to date.

When the game launches (in just over two weeks!), it’ll bring with it 15 radio stations, two talk stations, 240 licensed songs, and “Somewhere in the proximity of 20 movies worth of score” – the first time a Grand Theft Auto title can claim its own original musical accompaniment.

To find out more about the music, head to – where else? – Rolling Stone magazine, which has a detailed interview with soundtrack supervisor Ivan Pavlovich… otherwise, just hit play (again) on that video and count down the days until September 17th.
