Mad Max is still in quiet development at Avalanche Studios, with the Swedish team handing out just enough information to keep us intrigued, but not enough that we lose interest this far out from release. Today: Three new screenshots.
The screens are, of course, part of the game’s display at Gamescom in Cologne, which features a brand new demo version. We’re given a look at Max’s on-ground combat skills, his infamous shotgun, his driving skillz and – of course – the Magnum Opus, his Wasteland-ready vehicle.
Mad Max is on a journey to get the rare v12 engine – will he be able to get to the treasured High Value Vehicle?
Mad Max was revealed at this year’s E3, and we can confirm it’s an open-world, third-person action game which plops you straight into the dusty shoes of Max Rockatansky himself. Cars are key to survival in this savage, post-apocalyptic world, and the weapons are what you make ’em.
Due for release in 2014 on PS3, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC, if you want to know more about the game, check out our interview with Avalanche on Player Attack TV!
