Hopes for a western localisation of 3DS-exclusive Professor Layton vs. Ace Attorney have been rekindled, following comments made at last week’s Japan Expo in France. Level-5 CEO Akihiro Hino was confronted on the topic, and while he didn’t explicitly say it was happening, he certainly didn’t say it wasn’t.
Vooks translates Hino’s comments:
Something is in the works, but I can’t talk about it today. Please be patient.
Fingers are now being firmly (and patiently) crossed that Hino or someone else from the developer can talk about the project soon – any news is better than nearly a year’s worth of silence. Of course, we don’t know whether the westernised version of the game will be a retail edition, or digital-only – Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Dual Destinies was released in Europe exclusively on the eShop.
