When you just can’t get enough Assassin’s Creed, Ubisoft is here to help. The latest in the series, Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag, is set to hit shelves in late October, but if you still want more, the publisher has revealed plans for an official art book and a novel based on the in-game world.

Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag takes readers on a journey with Edward Kenway, from his start as a young privateer all the way to his new stature as a deadly pirate. We don’t know the author just yet, but we’re promised an exploration of the Golden Age of Piracy and an explanation of how the Templars and the Assassins got in on the act.
The novel is due out in the UK on November 7th, with a North American release following on November 26th.
The other book, The Art of Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag, is due out just before the game, arriving on October 28th. The pages are packed with concept art for the new title’s sea-going setting.
If you’re a serious art fan, or just like pretty things, the Art Book will be available as a special slipcase edition, including two exclusive prints signed by the artists – but you’d better be quick, there are only 500 of these available.
…on the other hand, if you’d just like to play the game, mark your calendar: Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag arrives October 29th, for PS3, Xbox 360, PC and Wii U – with PS4 and Xbox One versions following in the not-so-distant future.
