Sony Computer Entertainment Europe‘s Jim Ryan says:
I think we cut our teeth on DLC with GT5, and had some reasonably good success. We definitely have a desire to take that to a whole different level. Monetisation is obviously a very important part of that, just in terms of business, but equally important is providing an ability to have sustained, ongoing engagement with the consumer over months and months, so they feel wrapped up in this whole GT world.
With the whole game only-just announced, Polyphony is keeping quiet on just what this new DLC will entail, it’s a safe bet that we’re talking new tracks and cars. Ryan also confirmed that there’s plenty of stuff “in the pipeline” for GT6, and several of those “ambitions” will be on stage at both E3 and Gamescom.
