Diablo III devs define game changes for consoles

One interesting addition to next month’s E3 games lineup is the fact that Blizzard will be at the Expo for the first time in years, showing off Diablo III on PlayStation 4 (and potentially another next-gen console, if you catch our drift).

To celebrate the former PC-exclusive making the transition to console, Sony has presented a new developer diary video, featuring Blizzard staff talking about the changes made to the new version of the game.

…that is three of the developers working on the epic action-RPG that is Diablo III: Production Director John Hight, Lead Designer Joshua Mosqueira, and Senior Designer Jason Bender.

Together, they’ll explain how bringing the game to the PlayStation 3 and 4 has empowered them to viscerally transport players into the foreboding, demon-besieged world of Sanctuary by putting the action in the palms of their hands.

If you’ve been hanging out for a decent hack’n’slash that you can play on the couch, it looks like Blizzard are putting in the hours to make this one worthwhile. No release date for Diablo III juuust yet, but we’re expecting something to be announced at E3 – and failing that, BlizzCon later in the year.
