Jimmy the Geek gets all retrofuturistic with Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon
It’s being marketed as “an 80’s VHS version of 2007” and really, there’s not a lot of other periods a story about a group of cyborgs fighting over dinosaur blood would fit. It’s not just the retro-futuristic lighting style and Harold Faltermire -esque soundtrack eitther. Every little element is rooted in maintaning that big 80’s sci fi action movie feel.
This is a game we’ve been working on for a while, and we’re very excited about it because it brings to the table some new features for co-op, and at the same time, it’s a game that we have built for players who want to play on their own.
…and we take a peek through the pages of history, ending up in 1995.
The big news this year, three new consoles, three seperate companies, three VERY different reactions. The most warmly recieved of these new consoles is also from the newest entrant. The Sony Playstation, which was spawned from an argument with Nintendo about a CD add-on, has dominated the market this year.
All that, plus the latest in gaming news and fun giveaways!
