The Sims 4 announced for 2014 release

Brace yourselves: The Sims 4 is headed your way in 2014. Promising to celebrate the “heart and soul” of the Sims themselves, EA and Maxis are quick to distance themselves from recent drama, pointing out that the game will be a single-player, offline affair.

Perhaps thanks to this, we can expect a deeper connection with the Sims, with 4 featuring the “most expressive, surprising and charming” pixelated people we’ve seen to date. There isn’t much news just yet on how the game will be different (or – better yet – not-different) to previous incarnations, but the game features “new and innovative tools” that help you personalise your world, and new opportunities to share your highlights with others.
