Brace yourselves: The Sims 4 is headed your way in 2014. Promising to celebrate the “heart and soul” of the Sims themselves, EA and Maxis are quick to distance themselves from recent drama, pointing out that the game will be a single-player, offline affair.
Perhaps thanks to this, we can expect a deeper connection with the Sims, with 4 featuring the “most expressive, surprising and charming” pixelated people we’ve seen to date. There isn’t much news just yet on how the game will be different (or – better yet – not-different) to previous incarnations, but the game features “new and innovative tools” that help you personalise your world, and new opportunities to share your highlights with others.
The Sims franchise is fueled by the passion and creativity of its millions of fans around the world. Their continued devotion to the franchise ignites the fire of creativity of the team at The Sims Studio, driving them to continually improve and innovate on one of the world’s most popular simulation games that has sold more than 150 million copies worldwide.
More information about The Sims 4 will pop up real soon now – probably with a cheery Sul Sul! – and we’ll be all over it when that happens. In the meantime, to keep yourself updated, head to TheSims.com/TheSims4
