Infinite Crisis: DC Comics fighter starts closed beta

If you just can’t get enough DC Comics fightin’ action, you might like to check out Infinite Crisis, a multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) based in the DC Universe. While the official release is still a little way off, Warner Bros and Turbine have announced the game’s Closed Beta kicks off next week – and you’re invited to sign up!

Comparisons are easy to make, but in this case, we can point directly to Guardians of Middle Earth, an earlier MOBA game from Warner Bros. But, of course, this time around things are bigger and better, as Martin Tremblay from Warners explains:

We are thrilled to bring Infinite Crisis, a truly competitive experience featuring the DC Comics lore and characters, to the MOBA genre. Turbine is a pioneer in online gaming and combined with the amazing world of DC Comics, they are executing on a game concept that expands the MOBA genre.

Turbine of course is no stranger to creating impressively socially-imersive titles: It’s the studio behind Lord of the Rings Online, Asheron’s Call and Dungeons & Dragons Online.

Due to launch a little later this year, Infinite Crisis is a free-to-play PC game, and promises fast-paced PvP battles starring your favourite DC Comics characters. The current lineup includes multiverse variants of Wonder Woman, an assortment of Batmen, DoomsDay and Green Lantern, with plenty more to be revealed in the coming weeks.

If you want in on all of this, head to InfiniteCrisis.com and sign up!
