Frozen Synapse is headed to iPad in just a few short weeks, with developer Mode 7 confirming that May 16th is the day. Rather than just porting the turn-based tactical defender to a new device, the devs have gone to the next level, promising cross-platform play between PC, Mac and iPad.
Player Attack reviewed Frozen Synapse all the way back in 2011, and reported that it rated highly on the frustration scale – now you can take that experience on the go.
There is a one-off purchase for the iPad version to get the portable copy, but after that you’ll be able to use your existing account, import save-games between devices. The controls have been revamped specifically for touch screens, and from all reports, we’re in for a treat.
If you’re not the sort of person who lugs around an Apple-branded tablet, we’re told an Android version of Frozen Synapse is in the works – here’s hoping you won’t have to wait two years.
