Indie darling Monaco: What’s Yours is Mine is launching on Steam on Wednesday April 24th, as planned – but if you were hanging out for the Xbox Live Arcade launch, you’ll be waiting a little longer.
Game developer Andy Schatz has updated Facebook with the bad news, which – worryingly – does not contain a new release date:
We just discovered that there is an issue which requires that we push back our Xbox Live arcade game release date a little. We’ve already submitted an update to Microsoft to fix the problem, and as soon as we know that the issue is fixed we’ll have a new release date. I know our fans have been waiting a long time for the game, and hopefully they’ll have the patience to wait just a little while longer. What’s mine will be yours very, very soon!
Reactions on social media are varied – many are frustrated (at Microsoft, at Monaco), but many wish the indie developer all the best, and are grateful the bug was spotted pre-release, even if it was just 12 hours before the game was set to go live.
The PC version of Monaco is reportedly bug free, so if you’re unbothered by platform, you can pick it up tomorrow.
