Injustice: Gods Among Us is hitting shelves around the world this week for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, with the iOS tie-in already fully playable. There’s one other version of Injustice on the way too, but that won’t hit until next week: Wii U. And, from what we hear, the unexplained delay isn’t the only downside.

The iOS Injustice isn’t a smartphone port of the console game (that’d just be silly), but is a bit of fun that you can play on the bus. As you duke it out with DC icons, you’ll unlock bits and pieces that you can then redeem on your PS3 or Xbox 360, using your Warner Bros ID.
Note: There’s no Wii U in that list.
While we can’t expect multi-platform titles to be uniform experiences (that’s part of the fun of multi-platform), it’s important to know which features are on which machines. Simply put, the version of Injustice for Nintendo‘s latest console does not feature the cross-device content unlocks of the other two console releases. That said, it is hammockable, supporting off-screen play, and you’re able to put your move lists directly on the gamepad for easy access. And, let’s face it, this is a Wii U port that’s actually arriving, so you won’t be missing out completely.
