Rayman Legends gets extra content with delay

According to Rayman creator Michel Ancel, it seems the Wii U delay of Rayman Legends (which we reported late last year) has actually given the team more time to create content, with an additional 30 levels being added to the title as well as a variety of new bosses.

The Wii U version of the much anticipated sequel to Ubisoft’s hit platformer Rayman Origins was delayed from February 2013 to September 2013 in order to ensure the game hit all three major consoles at once, in a decision that was fairly unpopular with fans eagerly awaiting the game.

In an interview with Official Nintendo Magazine, Rayman series creator Michel Ancel admitted that while the anger fans displayed didn’t shock them, it “was really hard for us.” It seems they are hoping that a bunch of new content for the game will help pacify disappointed fans–and 30 extra levels should certainly go a long way towards that.

Rayman Legends will be released in September 2013 for Wii U, Xbox 360 and PS3.
