Normally, chart-topping games are somewhat predictable. The latest in a string of FPS, the third in a trilogy, a new one from an established developer… but every now and then, we see something odd pop up. Farming Simulator is one of those oddities, with the 2013 PC release of the game quickly becoming a worldwide best-selling title. Now, it’s headed to console… and who knows what that’ll bring.
Due out in September on both PS3 and Xbox 360, Farming Simulator promises a bunch of exclusive, console-only content. While PC gamers have a European environment to explore, console gamers will also receive an all new North American setting, complete with new farming vehicles and “other new features” packed into the game.
The new setting doubles the in-game world, and is inspired by “typical” American farms. The big new land will give you (real!) new scenery, new places and new development opportunities for your agricultural fantasies. There are also exclusive vehicles, from manufacturers such as Case IH, Lizard, Ursus, Kramer and Horsch, set to increase your farmin’ efficiency, something that’s clearly obvious in the new fields of the console-only expansion!
There’s still all the same Farming Simulator content we know and love – crops, harvesting, sales, animal husbandry, plus maintenance and acquisition of new vehicles and machines – it’s all the fun of a real farm, without getting your hands dirty!
