Now, it’s finally been officially revealed – the less-creatively-titled Saints Row 4 elevates the Third Street Saints to the leaders of the free world. No, really. The head Saint has been elected as President of the United States… and the country’s just been invaded by aliens.
“But the Saints are just getting started,” we’re told: The aliens – under the leadership of alien grandaddy Zinyak – have transported them to a “bizarro-Steelport simulation”, and it’s now your task to escape the computer game, or die trying.
Of course, there’s now alien weaponry and technology added into the Saints’ usual arsenal of bits and pieces, making each Saint an “ultimate entity of destruction”.
With out-of-this-world superpowers, intensified action and enhanced customisation, Saints Row 4 is shaping up to be the best one yet: Leap over buildings, outrun sports cars, and send your opponents flying via the power of your mind.
Can’t wait? You’re gonna have to. Saints Row 4 isn’t due out until August 20th in North America, and August 23rd in the rest of the world – and despite some ambiguous wording, will be out on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 – no Wii U version in sight.
