Army of Two: The Devil's Cartel demo incoming

Army of Two: The Devil’s Cartel is headed to Xbox 360 and PS3 in late March, but to whet your appetite and get you good and ready for the upcoming co-op spectacular, EA has decided to give you a bit of an early taste: A two-player co-op playable demo is hitting the airwaves starting March 12th.

…and, somewhat unrelated to that, we have a new trailer for the game, featuring the game’s masked baddie: El Diablo.

While El Diablo plays a decently-large part in the game, he’s not really a major feature in the demo, which offers just a tiny bite of the full experience. You’ll take on the role of private military contractors Alpha and Bravo (no more Salem and Rios), tasked with diffusing a hostage situation and recovering a kidnapped politician.

The demo level involves making your way up a skyscraper, after surviving a grownd floor drug lab. Once you’re at the top, there’s a helicopter! Survive hordes of cartel thugs, with one of you taking position in said helicopter and laying down cover fire, while the other is left on solid ground, face-to-face with the enemies.

It’s a neat little example of what you can experience in the full game, while not giving too much of the story away.

Army of Two: The Devil’s Cartel is due out for Xbox 360 and PS3 on March 26th, this new demo’s set to land around March 12th. Stay tuned.
