Each week, gamers around the world log onto digital distribution platform Steam, to get their latest gaming fix, and every week, Player Attack lets you know which games were the most popular.
Strange things are afoot in this week’s charts: The top two games have not been released yet (Tomb Raider unlocks in a matter of hours, BioShock Infinite in a few weeks), while the next three are all variations on a particular theme. When a game is first released, it’s not unusual for fans to rush out and buy everything they can from the franchise – but in this case, it took the Revolution DLC for Call of Duty: Black Ops II to drag it, the game, and the season pass, comfortably into the top 10.
#1 – Tomb Raider
Tomb Raider explores the intense and gritty origin story of Lara Croft and her ascent from a young woman to a hardened survivor. Armed only with raw instincts and the ability to push beyond the limits of human endurance, Lara must fight to unravel the dark history of a forgotten island to escape its relentless hold.
#2 – BioShock Infinite
#3 – Call of Duty: Black Ops II – Revolution
#4 – Call of Duty: Black Ops II Season Pass
#5 – Call of Duty: Black Ops II
#6 – The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim – Dragonborn
#7 – ARMA II: Combined Operations
#8 – Sniper Elite: Nazi Zombie Army
#9 – Mark of the Ninja
#10 – The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
