New content for Assassin’s Creed III lands today, with the release of The Infamy, the first part of The Tyranny of King Washington downloadable content series. While Ubisoft would obviously like you to rush out and grab this one online right now, there may be another option on the horizon.
Nothing has been officially confirmed yet, but we’re hearing rumours of Assassin’s Creed III: Washington Edition – a re-release of the original Assassin’s Creed III complete with all of the Tyranny of King Washington DLC.
But – until that’s all unveiled, take a look at this, the fresh new trailer for The Infamy:
In this alternate universe, Ratonhnhaké:ton (you might know him better as Connor) wakes from an “unsettling” dream. The newly-founded United States of America has so far resisted his efforts to deliver justice – and today, a new king is crowned: George Washington.
The Infamy is out right now for PC and Xbox 360, with a PS3 version following later in the week (and a Wii U edition a little later on). Second part, The Betrayal will arrive from March 19th, and the DLC story arc comes to a glorious end with The Redemption, due out from April 23rd.
You have a couple of choices when it comes to acquiring this Tyranny: Grab an Assassin’s Creed III Season Pass (for 2400 Microsoft Points on Xbox 360, or $49.95 on PC or PS3), or pick up each episode individually (for 800 points or $15.95).
