Mortal Kombat to finally see Australian release

Congratulations are in order for NetherRealm, who will finally be able to release Mortal Kombat in Australia. The Komplete Edition of the game has has benefited from the brand new R18+ adults-only rating, succeeding where the original game failed (twice), and the handheld version was considered too violent.

Now though, Mortal Kombat: Komplete Edition has made its way through the system, snagging an R18+ for High impact violence, blood and gore.

The original, next-gen Mortal Kombat was released in 2011, with the Vita edition joining the fray one year later. Also in 2012, NetherRealm put together the Komplete Edition, comprising the original release plus all downloadable content issued for the game. It’s this one – bonus content intact, blood and gore included – that will be arriving in Australia at an unknown date, more than one year after its international release.

Funnily enough, we don’t hear Aussie gamers complaining about the delay.
