Crysis 3: Multiplayer beta set for January 29th

Crysis 3 is well on its way, hitting shelves around the world from February 19th. If you’d like to see what’s in store a little earlier than that, Crytek has confirmed a multiplayer beta for the game will kick off on January 29th. To celebrate, here! Have a brand new trailer!

Like many betas, you’ll be limited to a fairly small chunk of the game, given access to just two of the game’s eight modes. Don’t feel too bad though, both Crash Site and Hunter will give you a pretty impressive look at what’s in store in this new New York City, trapped under a giant, protective dome.

The Crysis 3 beta also contains one other important element: The New York Feed is described by publisher EA as “a brand new in-game social feed that will showcase the accomplishments of gamers and their friends while offering dynamic challenges to complete”, which sounds like it could be a little bit interesting, to say the least.

In a nice move from Crytek, you’re being given plenty of time to jump in on this multiplayer bug-squishin’ action. The Crysis 3 beta will run from January 29th to February 12th, and will be available on all of the game’s three platforms – PS3, Xbox 360 and PC!
