We haven’t yet seen a standalone Legend of Zelda for the Wii U, but Link does make an appearance in another launch title, alongside everybody’s favourite plumber. Link, Mario, and “dozens of items” from both franchises have been released for Scribblenauts Unlimited, meaning that if you’re really stuck on a puzzle, you can call in a little bit of help from Nintendo.
Released as themed DLC, players are able to summon their favourite characters and items from both Mario and Zelda franchises, in a new and exciting Wii U exclusive.
Originally teased by a game retailer, we’re happy to announce that everybody with a copy of Scribblenauts Unlimited has the opportunity to play with Mario, Link, Zelda, Bowser, and the other Nintendo characters – that’s as well as the new high-definition, hand-drawn scenery and other objects that appear in all versions of the game.
Scribblenauts Unlimited features all-new features, more exploration, a huge side-scrolling open world, and more of Maxwell’s back-story than we’ve ever seen. It’s out right now for the Wii U, 3DS and PC.
