The sold-out Battle.net World Championship event this weekend at the Shanghai Expo Mart in Shanghai, China is shaping up to be a “truly epic finale” according to Blizzard Entertainment and cohost NetEase, Inc.
Blizzard CEO Mike Morhaim’s certainly excited about it:
The Battle.net World Championship will be a truly epic finale to a series that’s already featured some unforgettable action. It’s been a thrill to watch the world’s best StarCraft II and World of Warcraft players fight for a seat at the event, and we can’t wait to see who’s going to win it all.
Featuring the best StarCraft II and World of Warcraft Arena teams in the world, the Battle.net World Championship live-streaming action will start on November 17 at 1pm AEDT, with the second day starting on November 18 at 12:30pm AEDT.
As it happens, there are two Australian StarCraft II gamers competing in the Championship, Andrew ‘m00nGLaDe’ Pender and Tim ‘Mafia’ He, who are both coming off strong results at MLG Dallas earlier in the month, so make sure to check them out!
