The beta is focussing around the Sarajevo Stadium map, inspired by real-life locations in Bosnia. Team up with your mates using the new Fireteam system, and gain a unique competitive advantage on the battlefield – your task is to attack and defend randomly-selected locations, as part of the new multiplayer mode known as Hotspot.
Choose your side carefully – there are 12 Tier 1 units to pick from, including the British SAS, German KSK, Russian Spetsnaz Alfa Group, Korean UDT, U.S. Navy SEALs and Australia’s SASR. Each one of those countries can represent their own elite Special Forces online, but that’s not all: More than 193 nations are available through the Warfighter Nations metagame, powered by Battlelog.
Need a further reason to snag the beta this weekend? You’ll be helping to unlock the new music video for Linkin Park’s tune Castle of Glass. At the moment, that video’s set to be released five days after the beta launches (so, next Wednesday-ish), but if the beta is downloaded and played more than three million times, EA will unlock it early!
Medal of Honor Warfighter is set to launch on October 25th in Australia and October 26th in New Zealand, for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.
