Spend $100 on PlayStation Store, get $20 credit

Everybody likes getting something for nothing, and that’s exactly what PlayStation is offering: Spend US$100 or more in the PlayStation Store in October (can you believe it’s October already?), and you’ll receive a US$20 credit in your wallet when November rolls around. No matter what you spend that US$100 on, the bonus is yours to keep.

Get in quick!

There’s nothing to say you must pick up the latest and greatest, but the games coming out in October are none too shabby, including: Resident Evil 6, Dishonored, Assassin’s Creed III, The Walking Dead: Episode 4, Assassin’s Creed: Liberation, Street Fighter x Tekken on PS Vita …and that’s just naming a few.

It’s not just games that add up to the total $100, either. A PlayStation Plus 1-year membership, a DIRECTV subscription, or a new release video all add up to big savings for you.

The deal has been timed to coincide with things like PSN Day 1 Digital, which sees games available online on the PS3 at the same time as they are launched into the physical space. If you’ve already pre-ordered from the Day1 Digital lineup, that money counts towards your October $100! (…as well as all that, if you’re a PlayStation Plus member, you’ll get an additional 10% discount off of a number of titles in the lineup.)

…don’t get too excited and decide to work the system: The credit bonus is limited to the first US$100 that you spend, so even if you put thousands of dollars down, you’ll still only get US$20 back.
