After some lengthy delays, the 2001 game is now available in most parts of the world, for US$9.99, £7.99 in the UK and €9.99 in Europe. In Australia, it’s AU$15.95 and New Zealand has a pricetag of NZ$18.90.

Conversion rates at time of writing show that the UK and European territories are both paying around US$12.90. The Australian price, on the other hand, converts to US$16.65 for exactly the same game (New Zealand fans are paying US$15.73).

Considered one of the most influential video games of all time, Grand Theft Auto III was launched in 2001 to critical and commercial success. Its innovative open-world gameplay, action-packed storyline and stunning soundtrack make it just as good today as it was a decade ago – but is it worth forking over extra cash just because of your geographical location?
