EA and Danger Close have officially announced plans for an open multiplayer beta for Medal of Honor Warfighter, which will give gamers around the world the opportunity to try out the 12 Tier 1 units in early October, nearly a month before the game officially launches.

The most elite soldiers from ten different nations – including the British SAS, German KSK, Russian Spetznaz Alfa Group, Korean UDT, US Navy Seals and Australian SASR – are battling it out head-to-head, trying to sort out which one is the greatest.
If you jump in on the beta, not only will you get a chance to check out Medal of Honor Warfighter a little early and get 60 minutes of Double XP when the game launches, but you’ll also be helping to unlock the new music video for Linkin Park’s tune Castle of Glass. The track is set to debut this October, and the video is a direct result of collaboration between Linkin Park and Danger Close, a mash-up of live-action footage and gameplay from Medal of Honor Warfighter. EA intends to unlock the video five days after the beta launches, but if more than three million gamers download the beta, it’ll be released earlier.
With a storyline written by real U.S. Tier 1 Operators while deployed overseas, and with various other operators contributing and working as consultants, Medal of Honor Warfighter promises the year’s “most authentic military shooter experience”, drawing inspiration from real people, real places and real operations.
Medal of Honor is set to launch on October 25th in Australia and October 26th in New Zealand, for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC – expect more dates on the beta test very shortly.
