Slender: The Eight Pages, the free experimental horror game that’s been scaring the living daylights out of gamers for a few months, is officially getting a commercial release, with developer Mark Hadley (AgentParsec) teaming up with Blue Isle Studios to spread the scares even wider.
The original game (formerly known simply as Slender), sets you in the middle of a deep, dark forest. Your task is simple – to find all eight pages. There is, of course, a catch: Slender Man also lurks in the woods – a mysterious entity who grows more relentless and persistent as you gather each page. You can hardly look at it for long, so fighting is out of the question – as the developers say, “Your only hope is to collect all eight pages before it catches you”.
Slender: The Arrival promises “more more levels, improved visuals, and an engaging storyline”, wrapped up in an even more terrifying package.
You’ll have to wait a little while for this one, Slender: The Arrival is still in the early development stages, but it should be heading out on PC sometime in the not too distant future.
