Phoenix Wright returns in Ace Attorney 5 for 3DS

Everybody’s favourite Ace Attorney is back, with Capcom confirming Ace Attorney 5 is currently in development for the 3DS. While we don’t have a release date just yet, we do have some good news for the non-Japanese fans.

This time around, it’s one year after the events of Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney, and Phoenix Wright returns as the main character (we’re assuming he’s regained his lawyer qualifications?). The girl in yellow will be properly revealed at this year’s Tokyo Game Show, but we already know her name is Shinobu, and she’s been accused of causing an explosion in a courtroom.

This is already pretty good news, but if you’re unable to read Japanese, things could get a little confusing. So, Capcom is ready to make things even better, confirming a western release of Ace Attorney 5, some time in the future. “West” by Capcom standards means both the U.S. and Europe, which covers both major territories and suggests the game will pop up in Australia, New Zealand, Canada, and other regions as well. No objections here!
