Sleeping Dogs: Out Now, six months DLC planned

Square Enix and United Front Games have announced that Sleeping Dogs (which hits shelves today) will receive a further six months of additional content. Starting right now, there are already a bunch of new downloads, but even more are promised over the next half-year.

Lee Singleton, General Manager, Square Enix London Studios explains:

SLEEPING DOGS is a game we know fans will want to keep on playing, so over the next six months we’ll be creating a series of new content packs giving players everything they need to keep enjoying the game. We want to create something to suit everyone’s play style from cool cars and high-speed missions to outlandish outfits and game-extending mission packs. The game launch is just the beginning.

If you jump into Sleeping Dogs‘ special version of Hong Kong today, you’ll also be able to grab the 80s-inspired Retro Triad Pack, including a funky kung-fu fan as well as a “killer” old-school outfit (geddit?) which has its own player buffs. That should tide you over until September, when more cool stuff is planned – keep your eyes peeled for both the explosive SWAT pack and the high-speed Racing Pack!

Sleeping Dogs is available right now for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360. Take a look at Josh’s early preview – or stay tuned, we’ve got a review coming your way shortly!
