This is a bit cute: Australian soccer player Tim Cahill has just signed to the New York Red Bulls in a deal worth a reported £1 million. While you’d think there are all sorts of ways to verify this information, the team’s official website took a slightly different approach, enlisting EA Sports to help out.

Just moments after Cahill revealed his brand new Red Bulls jersey, EA Sports revealed this image, of the Australian midfielder taking a starring role in FIFA 13.

FIFA 13 – the latest in EA‘s long-running football franchise – is due out a little later this year for PS3 + Move, Xbox 360 + Kinect, Vita, Wii, PS32, 3DS, PSP, iPhone, iPad, iPod touch and PC. And probably some others, just for good measure – you’ve got no excuse!
