Steam Weekly Top Sellers: July 15th, 2012

Logo-Steam Each week, gamers around the world log onto digital distribution platform Steam, to get their latest gaming fix, and every week, Player Attack lets you know which games were the most popular.

Mark Spanel, CEO of ArmA II developer Bohemia Interactive is quoted as crediting survival horror mod DayZ with boosting sales of the original game. That was in May. In June, the phenomenon was brought to the attention of the BBC (Zombies help ageing title Arma II top video game charts). Now, more than two months after Spanel’s comments, the original game is still topping Steam charts, thanks in no small part to Dean Hall’s zombie-filled modification. The other nine games can just sit and watch, maybe battling it out for #2.
